I can’t even put in words how amazing this place is. I’m so in love with every single detail of Spino Secco.

The location is perfect for everyone. Do you want a relaxing vacation in nature? You have it. You can just chill in the pool and be surrounded by beautiful quiet mountains. You can also bike and hike around. Don’t want to touch your car? There are 3 great restaurants within walking distance. Don’t want to eat out? The kitchen is perfectly equipped for cooking any meals you want.

But do you actually want to see the famous Cinque Terre? You have it, you are 30 minutes driving from the gateway to it. Do you want to see the marvelous Carrara marble queries? You are one hour away from the “snowy” looking mountains where this beautiful stone comes from. You are also a short drive from Parma, Pisa, Modena, Florence and even smaller, but even more beautiful cities such as Lucca.

You want to spend the day at the beach? You are also within a short drive to several beautiful spots at the ocean.

But let’s get back to Spino Secco. The apartment we stayed was incredible, perfect for a couple or a small family. With a private terrace and view to the mountains and pool, it is what every family need to be able to relax and recharge. You can see the owners treat everything with so much attention and love. Everything was extremely clean, sheets smelled so nice and it had the comfort of a friend’s home.

And the owners? Amazing people. The type you just want to sit down and talk for hours. They are always there for you to answer any questions you might have or help you with anything. They were so kind to us and so loving to our 2 year old that when I told him to say goodbye he actually stood next to them and said goodbye to us haha. That is how lovely they were.

All in all, I can just say this place is magical to every single small detail and I feel very fortunate to have found it and to spend a week here. We already booked our next stay and we will for sure come back more than once. Thank you so much for your kind hospitality!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Spino Secco with the amazing hosts Kristin and Marietta. The location is perfect - there are many cities, attractions and beaches easily reachable by car for day/half day visits, or (like us) you may be tempted to spend your days relaxing at the property which has a lovely pool and barbecue area and incredible views of the Mulazzo village and lush forest surrounding it. There are also some good restaurants within walking distance which was very convenient. The newly renovated apartment was very clean and comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. What made this trip truly unforgettable was the kind hosts who made us feel so welcome and who were so generous, responsive and helpful. Thank you so much and we look forward to coming back!

Spono Secco Residence is a great place for a holiday getaway. It is created by both the location, the house, the garden with the pool and, above all, the hosts - Marietta and Kristin. They're great people who are helpful with everything. They like to talk about everything and nothing :) The place itself is great and has lots of experiences. She also has a lot of potential for growth, and from what Marietta said, she's going to be a real paradise soon. I can't think of a better place to relax.

this was our 4th trip to Mulazzo, and this time we were in a different airbnb than before but the place is great! The owners are very warm, and accessible. A real Italian drink once a week, makes you want to go to the Pontremoli market the day after, for all the goodies you taste that evening. The pool is a very nice and nice place, and our rooms were very spacious and nicely decorated. We took photos of the paring knives because we definitely want to have them at home here too haha. Cute and cozy, GREAT area and very sweet people. Whether it's in Spino Secco, or at the bottom of the road in one of the restaurants. It is definitely recommended, but if you can choose.. Go for an apartment on the side of the pool or back. Just a little more romance and quiet of nature.

We had a wonderful experience at Spino Secco! The apartments are very comfortable, and the town has plenty of options for relaxing and taking in the historic Tuscan beauty.
The owners (Kristin and Marietta) gave us several excellent restaurant recommendations, all within 15 minutes of the property, and it was only about 45 minutes to visit the sea.
We can’t wait for our next visit to Spino Secco!

We had a great time at Spino Secco! We have been going to Italy for years and this has been one of our best accommodations to date! The apartment was very clean and large enough for the five of us (2 adults and 3 kids). What we also liked is that there was already salt, sugar, coffee, tea etc. in the kitchen. Very nice beds, with nice bedding! Amazing views and fantastic pool. Two nice restaurants within walking distance (5 min.) is also a big plus. Supermarket(you) on 5 minutes drive, also ideal.

A fantastic property in an amazing location. The surrounding landscape is stunning and the position of the property offers incredible panoramas, and there are restaurants within walking distance which offer great dishes at reasonable prices. The pool is perfect and much needed in the summer. Also as it is saltwater rather than chlorine treated our children were happy spending hours each day in there. But best of all is the incredible hospitality of Kristen and Marietta, who clearly love making your stay the best it can be.

We loved our stay at Spino Secco. Mulazzo is a lovely village. When we arrived there was a wine festival going on which was a real treat. We visited cinque terre and Pisa while staying at Spino Secco. The pool was great entertainment for our three kids (2, 8, 9). Kristin and Marietta where super friendly and helpful. We couldn’t have picked a better place for our vacation.
